This is my sailing grounds (at least on the Barnegat Bay side.) I'm not yet brave enough to try to pass through this inlet. Currents are supposed to be quite difficult. Maybe one day...

It looks like in the video there is a light which is working, at the end of the jetty. My guess is person is not familiar with area or navigational rules.
