I have halyard winches to install.
Can some one tell me how long the screws need to be go through the cabin top close to the cock pit?

David,
I replaced those machine screws years ago but I didn't record the length. I want to say they are between 2 1/2" and 3" long and 1/4" diameter. I would drill holes then try some cheap screws of different length to find the right size. Then order some good SS fasteners from somewhere likehttp://www.boltdepot.com/
Order extra of whatever you get to add to your parts bag. There is a cavity between the interior liner and the cabin top you may want to fill with thickened epoxy before bolting down the winch.
Good luck,Craig.

I just added some last Dec.

It was frustrating because the deck has one angle, and the liner is another angle so the bolt length varies from the middle of the boat going out.
I think I just went with 2 1/2 in bolts and then cut them off with a dremmel tool. Using a wide washer, lock washer, nuts, and then acorn nuts.

My deck and liner width where I cut out the solar vent is:

3/4 inch on one side
7/8 inch on the wide side.

I determined that in the future if I had to do the job again ( especially working alone ) that the longer bolt worked well in that I could grab the end with a pair of small locking pliers and this would allow me to hold the bolt as I tightened the nut, then cut off the end before adding the acorn nut.

Sorry... I did not measure the deck width at the winches.
