Sarge is in the water, ready for free tours of the area for members here--primarily on weekdays. (Weekends tend to be booked up.) E-mail me through my profile.

A few years ago, my spouse and I took advantage of the Stinkpotter tour when we were heading to Plymouth, Mass to visit a friend. Dave was a great host and we thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay with him and the Mystic Seaport Sarge Tour !!

By the way, you can complete the adventure with a stop at Defender to pick up some marine supplies !

I must concur - Dave "Stinkpotter" is a very gracious host. I visited Mystic several years back on Passage and we had a wonderful day in town and on the water.

When my wife and I drive to town, we like seeing the Seaport, the tall ship restorations and the Daniel Packer Inn pub. Highly recommended!

...And now there's the big deck at Red 36, a restaurant/bar between the bridges where R-36 would be if there were one.

Nice. I just passed thru on Amtrak from Boston. I saw the Brewers boatyard to the south but could not see the highway bridge to the north.

It's around the bend to the right. You'd have seen it if it were up.
