Our C-25 came to us with two swing-out brackets on stanchions for something like that, but more likely for a surfboard back in those days. I wonder if Bruce Ross still has them...

It seems I remember Catalina Direct used to sell one, but I can't locate it now. Magma makes a rack http://www.magmaproducts.com/Products/Grill_Accessories/R10-626/r10-626.html, but I wondered if anyone has specific experience with one on a Catalina 25. The board I'm thinking of getting is about 11.5', and pretty straight, which could become somewhat unruly hanging off the side of the boat at sea.
My lady friend has a SUP, (it is ALL the rage in Bend), and I have simply lashed it vertically to the lifelines/stanchions. This is along the foredeck and inside the lifelines. I have noticed increased windage, but no issues with a foresail's operation or working room on the bow. I typically have simply lashed two lines around the board and lines. The shape of the board prevents it from moving very far fore or aft, as one line or the other will constrict.
