Hi, I have an early 1995 Catalina 250 and it does not have coaming boxes. I recently inspected the area behind where I would place them and it appears that there are coaming boxes glassed in but not cut out from the cockpit. Does anyone have experience using these coaming boxes? Are they finished inside? They also do not have a drain. Wouldn't they need one? It seems to me that I've read about them on this site but the search function doesn't bring it up. Thank you,
I have a 2005 C250. The coaming boxes were standard. I heard the early models they were a purchase option. I don't know what's behind your cockpit, so you might need some fiberglass work.

Thanks Russ. I've inspected the area behind the bench/ backrest and the coaming box/ cubby looks like it is already made, and is in place, by Catalina. I just need to cut out the shape of the plastic trim ring from the cockpit and drill the drain holes. Has anyone done this? I'll also seal the bottom/ sides of the coaming box. I've ordered the trim rings from CD.
