replacement sheaves, deck organizers

I have to replace the sheaves, “deck organizers” sometimes called turning blocks... I think? <img src=icon_smile_question.gif border=0 align=middle>
Can anyone tell me if there is a standard, original equipment. Size and make…..
Our local catalogs and West Marine show sheaves for masthead only, also checked the Catalina direct hand book, nothing listed that I could find.
Any info would be appreciated.

You can order replacement sheaves and bushings from Garhauer Marine, the OEM.

Hi Nelson...

Can you be a little more specific? A sheave is the "wheel" part of a block. A deck organizer is a flat unit with one or more sheaves, used to turn lines that come out from turning blocks at the base of the mast, generally to rope clutches or cleats on the cabintop by the cockpit. Turning blocks can be a lot of things, but are generally swivel blocks (and have sheaves).

Do you want to replace the plastic or aluminum "wheels" (sheaves) or entire units, such as deck organizers? Can you identify a brand on the original unit? (Garhauer made most of the OEM hardware for the C-25, but deck organizers may have been added on.)

Charles, I called, "Garhauer Marine" they are sending the sheaves and bushings, should be able to fix the problem in a few days…
you guys sure are a great help, specially when we find our selves in a quandary.

Thanks Dave, you are right, I should have said the sheaves in the deck organizers. (with two sheaves in each frame)
I read Charles' message before I got to yours, called, "Garhauer Marine" they are sending the sheaves and bushings, should be able to fix the problem in a few days… This is a great site, made so by you guys…
