What size bails do I need to rig a boom vang on my '81 std rig?
I keep forgetting to measure the boom and mast section when I'm 'on the boat' (two+ hrs away)

Hi Capn rick, My boom cross section measures 2 3/4" x 3 1/2".
Catalina Direct has a very nice boom vang for the C25. the bails come with it. you can find them at catalinadirect.com
or call 800-959-7245. It sells for $109 to $119 depending on the type of mast you have.

already HAVE the boom vang (bought it used at local sailboat shop in a fit of VISA induced insanity) all I need is the dimensions to the bails and hit the internet for parts. again. thanks though-I did see that one in the catalog.
