Just got off the phone with a couple of the skippers that made the trip over to the Bahamas, all arrived safe in North Bimini this morning. The group, which includes about 5 or 6 Catalinas, started out with winds out of the South, clocking around to the East during the night, staying in the 5 knot range. Seas were around 2 or 3 feet in the Gulf Stream, which is about as calm as it gets. Kelly Gates, who sails an O'Day 25 with a 9.9 four stroke motor, only used 5 gallons of fuel on the entire trip over. After a little rest today, they will be doing the tourist thing in Bimini.
