The other day I did an internet search for a CQR anchor to see what kind of pricing I could find. I found a supplier in Buffalo NY called C-ME Marine sales. I couldn't believe their cheap prices on everything. I got their catalog today.

3 Questions:
Have any of you used C-ME sales?
They have a CQR clone. 20 lb for $70 or a 26lb for $90. which size would be best? Do these fit into an anchor locker on an 89?
How do you get a link on a message on this board?
OK I guesse that was 4 questions

But seriously, check out their prices. Cheap on everything.

For the record, I just purchased a Humminbird HDR 600 Depth Finder from Defender for $105. The same finder is in West Marine's Catalog for $150. In C-ME, the finder is $89 - quite a savings. Sorry I didn't see this post earlier.

I don't think the CQR will fit into the anchor locker. But that's just my guess.

I'm at Blue Water Marina in a condo complex next to the Muzurek (Sp?) boat ramp. I put my boat in and out at Lake Vue Marina. Between my Venture 17, Catalina 22 and now a Catalina 25, I've been there about five years. It offers great access to Lake Erie. However, if the lake level keeps dropping, I may need wheels under the swing keel to get in and out. I assume you're in the same general area.

I used to be at Dock of the Bay Yacht club in Sandusky. We spent the last 2 years at Whiskey Island Marina in Cleveland. This year we will be at Edgewater Yacht Club.

I'll chime in on all that....used to live in Lakewood, had a C-30 at Sandusky Harbour Marina (I still have nightmares about the coal dust) and I crewed on a Paceship 26 out of Edgewater Marina......PHRF Wed/Sun races...raceweek...still have the T-shirt.('94 I believe)

Oscar,
Who did you crew for? My brother-in-law had a Paceship 26 and frequently raced in the various Lake Erie races. I crewed on a Cal 30 named Cin-Min-Jo. Had a lot of fun but got sick a couple times in some really heavy seas.
