along with gas, my boat also came with the water and holding tanks about half-way full. i know i can obviously pump out the holding but what about the water? do i have to send it all the drains into the holding tank then pump out? or can i pump out directly from that tank.

Steven,

There's usually a cleanout and inspection port on top of water and waste tanks. You could get the old water out through there if you don't want to send it through your water lines. By the way, are you sure your sink drains go to your holding tank? I think most don't.

Its only water. Does the sink pump work ? If so pump it for 10 minutes it will empty the tank and drain through the sink drain. Worst case syphon it out with a hose.

Just don't pump out your head holding tank anywhere inside of 3 miles in the ocean and at all on lakes and rivers.

I’m not sure what the condition of your water tank. But you may want to pull it out dump the water and give it a good cleaning with beach.

In that case, I am not sure if you are going to want the same fitting at the pump out station coming into contact with anything potable.

You can syphon the water out of the tank with a garden hose providing that your boat is on land.

You could even use an electric drill powered pump. I have even used my sons super soaker for a pump a time or two. Just do some imagineering.
