Earl, this is unrelated to electrical wiring, but your picture shows the forward face of your keel winch: it looks almost new. Did you replace your winch, and if so--do you notice any marked decrease in the effort necessary to raise /lower your keel? My winch is original '81, near as I can tell, and is a beast to crank. Ron,
Yes I did replace the winch last year. Unfortunately I had never used the old winch, so I can't answer your question. When I bought the boat, the winch was in terrible condition, so I just replaced it.
