Obviosly by my next question, I will be outed as a complete novice, if not already, Is flushing using muffs needed after each run of the OB motor, and second, I have had some difficulty with reduced pisser tube volume, would flushing with vineger or something like CLR run through a hose end sprayer then to the muffs be feasible to clean deposits out? Dan: Those are very reasonable questions. I'd never recommend against flushing every time out, but I can't say I do that... I've found that one of the more common points of obstruction of the "pisser" flow is where the hose connects to the "pisser outlet" (I'll pass on the temtation to call it something else). I've used a short piece of wire to open it up there. The primary issue in salt water is salt crystals, for which vinegar does nothing in particular. Fresh water is about as good as anything, and monthly is better than nothing. But what's this "CLR"?

Its a household cleaner that contains Water, glycolics, sulfamic and citric acids and surfactants. It is advertised for calcium lime and Rust stains / buildups. Very effective on above items. ???
