I have read everything I can find on the forum and on Arlyn's Web Site, downloaded the diagrams and every picture I could find but to no avail. If anyone has done this mod could they please let me know what size pump I should use. 1.5gpm 2.5gpm or bigger. The General read some of Arylin's and others comments, especially about being able to take a shower with the system so you guess it, first mod and boat isn't even here yet.
By the way the new boat arrives next Wednesday and the excitment is starting to build.
Thanks again to all for the great insite and advice on the C250.

Not able to look right now...but thinking I have the smaller of the two pumps and it seems to do a great job. In fact, for the way mine is used, the larger might be a detriment if it has a higher pressure output as very often the nozzle is teased for rinsing dishes - mine is set up to choose between fresh or sea water.
The reason I asked is that West Marine has a wash down pump on sale for $79.99 which puts out 3.5gpm, draws 10A and can run dry without damage, not that I would on purpose, it does not say the pressure output.
While I got you, what type of check valves did you use on the sinks etc?
The new boat will not have the Tohatsu 25" shaft on it until December. Apparently the engine arrived last month and the dealers put up a fuss about the tilt on the motor not allowing it to raise easily and not tilting high enough to get the unit out of the water very much. So they are redoing the mount to allow more swing net result no motor until DEC. Penny II will just be operating on the old sailmaster until then. I will let all know how it operates and fuel usage as soon as I get it. Sure going to look strange with this new boat and a junky looking Sailmaster, but looks aren't everything they say, off course I have never met "THEY".
Looking forward to hearing about your trip.

Heck, that Sailmaster will keep you from looking like too much of a newbie on the water... <img src=icon_smile_cool.gif border=0 align=middle>
Congratulations in advance!

Thats about the price of the pump that I got from West Marine so it may be the same.
I use a bronse check valve from the home center on the galley sink... actually two way fawcet pumps act as check valves but the rubber flapper may not be strong enough for the back suction as was the case with my galley fawcett. The lav fawcett on the other hand has never suffered from sucking the rubber out of shape so no check valve has been installed there. It could be that its distance from the blaster pump allows a pressure buffer to protect it.
I don't mind looking like a newbie. People don't expect much form them so maybe I can get a sneak up on some of the old salts. This hole in the water is really starting to take a toll on my wallet. A RV on water just doesn't make any sense, but the General will prevail.
Arlyn, thanks that should do it. Take care and have a safe trip home.
