Niel Pryde Sails $722.25 China made 5.53 oz dacron 1 203 874 6984 or www.neilprydesails.com

The people were very nice and helpful at all of the booths. You will hae to contact the various vendors for the special features of their respective products if interested. Note: These ae boat show prices and are for a limited time in some cases.

So, it looks like Catalina Direct is the way to go?

I would be very leery of the Elvstrom/Sobstad people. Any company without its own domain for email is probably not doing well. That's too bad Sobstad was a great sailmaker.

Just checked to see Sobstad had a web site, the do:
http://www.sobstad.com

I'd guess that Sobstad was not at the show themselves, but one of their agents.

No, I did not see Sobstab or their agents at the show. I had asked them for a quote a few weeks before and I thought there price was reasonable. I went to all but the Hong Kong Sail Makers of the vendors listed in the sail section of the product guide for the show.

I recently got a quote from Catalina Direct for an Ullman main, loose footed full batten, and the price was in line with the other quotes you got. It's an offshore sail, and if it is of the same quality as the new 135 jib I got I'm sure it will be good too.
