a little cold and wet but it was a gorgeous day on the bay. 8 knts wind, waves 1-2 feet, and clear for miles. Only another 2 psychos were out on the water but the best part was no power boaters.
Man, I am jealous. My boat is sitting there in the slip full of antifreeze with my sails either at Quantum or in the basement and my batteries and motor in the basement. I showed my wife the pictures but I don't think the snow is going to motivate her to get back on the bay before Spring.
Where do you keep your boat - I take it you are in No.Va. or DC from your website? We keep ours down in Deltaville. We've had our boat since mid-October and have yet to see Wind/Wave conditions so nice (now all we need is 80 degree temps). Have fun out there on Friday - looks nice. I'm jealous again.
FRI NW WINDS 15 KT DIMINISHING TO 10 KT. WAVES 2 FT.

You are my hero. Hope to get to meet you when I get my boat done and down to Hances Point. I'm not sure where you are at on the Bay, but by the end of the season hopefuly I will have gained enough experiance to get part way down the Bay and back with confidence. The pictures were great. I hate cold but the sailing looked great.
Steve, you and your first mate will have warmer buns (and bodies) if you'll spring for some seat cushions. If you don't want to buy the official fitted ones, West Marine carries grey or blue foam cushions for about $ 40.00 that I use. You'll be amazed how much more comfortable you'll be year-round, but especially in the cold.
