I just bought my Catalina last week. What a great gift for the holidays. But I need help, Can anyone tell me what kind of roller furler do I have? Who makes it can I still get parts? If so where from?
A sailing friend of mine has a similar looking furler on his Coronado 25. His is an old CDI. They are still around. My 2000 C250 came with a newer design CDI furler. I don't know if you can get parts. I’m sure you can call them and ask.
It looks like my furler, an old CDI Type "O" built in the same year as my boat (keeps on ticking...)
Here is a link to identify your specific model -- CDI furler ID. Spare part availability is also indicated, although I would call the company for specifics (the owner often answers himself).
Just to be redundant I'd say cdi, and I would guess parts are likely available.
They are very good to work with. When I miscut my plastic extrusion (the long gray thing), they charged me cost for a replacement, and shipped it like yesterday.
Thanks for all the help. I got a lot of helpful information from the CDI link. It sure is fantastic to have such helpful people with such a great knowledge base in the forum.
