This is one of my favorite sailing sites. Along with tons of technical advice and projects it has stories. Life stories. People who have been out there cruising or are still out there. It has forums about lots of sailing topics. Sections with ideas and how too's for boat systems. If I had to chose a happy place to be on the web this would be it. I'm would like to share it with you all and I know it will help with lots of questions here on the board. I hope you enjoy it. Spread the word. http://cruisenews.net/
I agree, it is a very resouceful site offering a great many links to many sailing sites. I disovered it several months ago when after running my statistical program on my web site and finding one of my stories was getting hits from it.
I backtracked and discovered that indeed one of my stories was listed there. How it got listed... I don't know. My guess is that a web crawler picked it up.
At any rate, it serves as a very good collection of interesting sailing stuff.
Douglas, Pardon my renewing this string, but, like many, I have been reading along at this site for 2 yrs now, though posting seldom. I sail my C25 in northcentral Ohio. (Yes, I am a member) I know you bought the Alberg 29 a year or so ago, and I enjoyed immensely your photos of your new boat. In your post here you mention the website of the Alberg 30 group. I am curious what you can say about the difference between the Alberg 29 and the Alberg 30. Pictures you posted of YOUR Alberg 29 were absolutely lovely, interior and exterior. Pictures I have been able to find of the Alberg 30 seem less, for a better word, dressed up. (It could be the individual boats.) Less wood below. There aren't too many 29s around by my observation, and they seem to be in Canada. I found one for sale in Halifax NS, but that is a fur piece. Thanks for any comment, and smooth sailin'
