There was quite a discussion regarding the wk and wb models. Enough to think about, so I guess the next step is to get some sail time in.

Larry, how soon are hoping to buy?
I have a 250wk that I hope to splash in mid April and you're welcome to come out and play. I'll be sailing out of the Rhode River, just south of Mayo. Should be about a 20-30 min. drive for you. I know of a 250wb sailor on the South River (also by Mayo) who was looking for crew last year. I can't speak for him, but I suspect there are enough of us around that you could check out both kinds of boats.

Dave/Deb, I'm not in a rush to make the purchase, and yes, I am near Mayo, my wife and I drove up there earlier this year to look at a Mac26M. (Seeing it confirmed that I didn't want one).
I'd be happy to crew for you on yours or the other 250wb boat. Thanks for the offer and keep me informed.

Larry, I'll give you a holler after the boat gets in the water. If you were looking at a Mac, I'll bet it was probably at Casa Rio Marina. (There used to be a dealer there, so they have a concentration of those things.) That's where I'll be moving my boat this spring. I tried to send you an e-mail through the forum but got some sort of script error. If you'd like to send me a note with your e-mail address I could reach you easier. nmforester at comcast.net

Don, there was some talk last year of forming another fleet but the idea hasn't taken off yet. There are a few of us between Annapolis and Deale, MD and others farther south. Some of us are not far from Baltimore by car, but it would take all day to sail up there. We may be a little too spread out to reach a critical mass.

I sail on the Potomac near Washington DC and would be happy to take you sailing sometime and participate in a new fleet.
