Came from my monthly ordeal of torture, the monthly board meeting and saw Frank had stopped at 999 posts, I figured he'd easily get to 1000 first, but I won.
Don Peet, C25/250 2004-2005 National Association Commodore The Great Sacandaga Lake, NY
Was it a race? Sorry I was cruising, , quality not quantity after all I gues I should have started a thread "Don't read this" and posted 215 emty replies..... Bet Spike would have intervened though...
I guess I'm more of a racer than I thought. Winter, snow on the ground, and racing to a thou. Lets see Frank, if I can figure a way to bring osmepneo to Wichita next year, you promise to wait, ". . . out of respect . . ." to let me cross the line first?

Hey Suzie, you out there? I hit 1000 almost a month early!
Speaking of Dave and his AKAs, has Bryan resurfaced as a new entity? He hit 1000 on Feb 6 and went poof. That has reduced our trio of resident racing experts to two, Steve and Derek. Bryan...come back, you are missed.
I get to buy the latest MMC a cup of coffee this morning, after three years of general "E" mails and living at the most five miles apart we get to meet. Congradulations Don. "Bear"
Congratulations, Don on your new rank which is the direct result of you spending waaaay too much time online.
Anyway...raise your beverage hand and lend an ear for the reading of the proclamation...

For shame, JB, for shame.
Don't take it hard, Frank... I didn't get a ceremony, either. First time around, I ducked it by changing names and starting over. (I changed names one other time because I didn't like what people were calling me...) By the time I got to the 1K mark, I guess the Powers That Be figured I'd already been there.
The irony here is Bill Holcomb isn't a "MMC" (as far as I know), although he definitely is The Master. I guess that says something about some of us...

Having made it in just under six months only shows what a busy body I am not what I know, and of course the vast majority of what I know; no, the entirety of what I know about our boats I learned from you guys. I am awfully pleased to have made some new friends and to maybe have helped a few people, (even if it was only because I replied before anyone else). Was it you that used to have that silly sig picture, dressed like a Captain or something?

This ceremony thing is becoming a part time job!
I wonder if Spike can set something up where those who change ranks can be automatically greeted by fireworks? <hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></blockquote id="quote"></font id="quote"> NO NO NO, that wouldn't do at all. You are the big kahuna, you must anoint until someone else is the big kahuna. I don't want no stink'n automated honor.
