Every year we hold the Nationals and devide the winnings between the three classes (works for me). Now that we have tailored down the existing fleets and have become better organized, I feel it is time for and Admirals cup champion. That is, at the next nationals the cup can be awarded to the overall winner of all three classes and the cup will then be maintained as a Fleet Cup for bragging rights. This will foster Catalina fleets to at least send one boat to the Nationals to be eligiable for the Cup.
Bill what great idea! Ya, handicapping may be difficult, but not unsermountable (IMHO). What thoughts do you have for picking an overall c25/250 champion?
Well, Using the PHRF Boat on Boat handy cap would have to be used, not the boat over time, it's a very simple process and it is availuable on line to down load, or there could be a simple sail off between the three boats that won their series. I've always felt bad that there is now way to realy test the three winners. I know the bragging rights would realy mean alot.
