A history of the Catalina 25 would be a good thing to develop, and I guess that organizationally that would fall to me. I'll start working on it, as soon as I get a chance. Probably next week. Rather than a listing of the class, Iam thinking of some narrative, but a listing of class events might come first.

Was the 30 designed and introduced before the 25? I kinda remember that the 25 came out shortly after the 27.

I love blackberries, Steve, so pick some for me while you're over there.

Don, Catalina customer service is on the case of the missing history, so no need to divert your focus from fleet development, yet.

I found this article from Good Old Boat while searching for something else, and found it quite interesting to read and it may be helpful to the topic of this thread.. http://www.boatus.com/goodoldboat/catalina.htm

Very interesting reading. Thanks, Dan. I'm starting to think that Oscar may have been right.

"Nor are we familiar with the manufacturer Catalina..." Just what kind of "yachting organization" is that? That would be like starting a car magazine and not being familiar with Ford. Between their writing and their industry knowledge, they don't appear to have a bright future in this endeavor.

I thought the same thing, Dave, as I read the earlier posts in this thread. Who could be involved in the sailboat business in any way and not know Catalina. Just one sailboat show and you'd have to know them!
