This is a total long shot but I was wondering if anyone south of Boston (Scituate area) has thoughts on where to put 25 in for the season. The two possibilities we had lined up fell through and we are starting to think we may not be able to put our newly accuired boat in. Thanks.

I don't know the area, but if it was me I'd get a cruising guide and start calling.....also, get in the car and start sniffing down the coast. In fact, I'd get the cellphone out and do all of the above at the same time and I wouldn't come home untill I found a spot. The nearest spot might not be as close as you had hoped, but then you just grin and bear it and put in the miles. Meanwhile you keep repeating the process untill you get what you want.
The possibility of not using your boat is not an option.

cm, in line with what Duane suggested, there is a big new marina in Warwick and a ton of tiny marinas all up and down the West shore of Narragansett Bay. I don't think you could miss in Rhody and I don't think you would regret the ride--you may find more sailable weather inside the bay and near Block Island than being pounded by The Atlantic on the Mass. shore!
My new boat is at Portsmouth on the East shore of Narragansett Bay (Melville Marina district off route 114), which might be a very quick drive for you, and few boats are in the water yet, so there may still be some slots on that coast as well...
CMC (?): I second the Narragansett as an option--great sailing grounds, including Block Island and the Vinyard, but great all by itself. I might be moving to the area myself.
I have a town mooring in Falmouth (Cape Cod), but when I originally called around, it was hard to find a slip. There are some marinas listed in your area on yachtworld.
Someone recommended Kingman in Cataumet, but that's still a bit far for you. I have a friend that keeps his boat at a Marina in Quincy. I'll have to ask where. Good Luck! Pat

A refi mortgage has allowed me to enter that foolish stage of life called "two-boat owner". Now that I've got Coolatta fitted out to my liking I get to visit her on the hard while I bust my knuckles on a new project...
I just read that the Marina my new boat is at (East Passage Yachting Center, Portsmouth RI) is cutting up a couple of derelect ships to make way for a second marina. Rhode Island seems to be the only place in the Northeast building new marina space...
