What is the red plaque on the mast on Classical Cat? I can't quite read it in the photo but it looks like a hard plaque as opposed to a decal.... just curious.

Its just a sticker saying watch out for overhead wires, etc.....

Dave, I am from Milwaukee and spent some time working in Kansas City and in Chicago. I know that your spring and summer will be beautiful (when it gets here!)

Great pics Jim. Looks like fun was had by all. I assume Mike is still on the hard since you didn't have Mara out to test those new lights....

From the looks of the 'ranch' I'm amazed you have time to spend with your boat. Seems like lots of work would be required to support a ranch.

Yes, we raise ducks and geese, sell eggs, sell apples and other fruit, and have about 40 fruit and nut trees to care for on our 2.5 acres. I generally plant a vegatable garden in containers around the pool. We have 4 dogs and also raise 2 teenage daughters.

Karen holds the whole thing together.

I probably won't sail some Saturdays now that spring/summer is coming in order to take care of things, and may go home rather than sailing some evenings.

WOW! That just made my day.
Was wondering about the tall ship in port?
When I went to the Bimini Island last year at this time there were two boats with us named Valkyrie. One was a Mac 26x and the other a C-25.

Hi Ben,
That was Tom on the Valkyria.

Mo and I have the C25 Valkyrie. Slightly different spellings with the same meaning.

We had hoped to make this years Bahamas event but work got in the way. We will be going to the B.E.E.R. event in June, will you be there?

The photo of the port is looking at the San Diego Maritime Museum. The Star of India is the main display. They also have the Steamship Berkley, and the ship that was used in Master and Commander is visiting for a few months (forget the name).

The aircraft carrier Midway has just arrived and will become a museum display. It's docked just next door, but not part of the Maritime Museum.

The Star of India goes sailing a couple of times per year. What fun to be on the crew!

Wow Doug! Sorry I did not realize that was you! What a great time I had. Sure wish I could do it again this year also. I am saving my time off from work for when my son comes home on leave mid May. He is back at Ft. Hood with the 4th ID. And non too soon either. But he has already said he wants to go sailing. So I think he and I will try to find the source of the St. Johns River. I have always been at the other end of it.
How is Mo? Please tell her I said Hi. I would love to have dinner with y'all again.

The Bahamas trip would've been nice, Jerry, Bud, and Justin should be in the water today looking for a crossing window. Sure wish we were there instead of working.....
