I'm attempting to restore a cat 25 that had an interior fire, and I cotinuely discover new boundaries for the unskilled. Is it possible to pull all the bulkheads with the mast stepped? Or would this torque the hull irreparably?

Unstepping the mast is not that difficult and if you are doing extensive renovations, then I suggest dropping it to be on the safe side.

If you slack all the shrouds there should't be much loading on the cabin roof... but the mast will be pretty wobbly in that state... best to lower same.

I wonder, was this boat a victim of the infamous "Factory curtain Burner" pressure alcohol stove?

I you are goinrg to be taking all of the wood out as I did on my refit. It means that you'll be taking out the compression post and the chain plates for the upper shrouds. I'd drop the mast.
