Sal arrived yesterday. His autopilot failed 2 days out, he hand steered the last 2 days without sleep. But he made it.

Jim, if you talk to him ask him to write everything he can remember. Technically I can only submit C25/C250 stories but if we could write a great article I’ll bet we could get it into the Mainsheet.

I admire his spirit more than the primadonnas who make up the "Around Alone" bunch--nowadays they won't take off without a bulletproof $5 million buck boat under them and another $1 million cash in the bank. Sal makes Brad Van Lieuw look like a wuss...
