I took me some time to set this up as a separate web site but now like the tank everything is done. should anyone have any questions let me know. I took a lot of pictures so anyone who is contemplating the change can get a good idea of how I solved some of the problems of a job like this

Hi John,

I've tried several times this afternoon to view the "<u>tank addition 3</u>" page on your website ... the page won't load ... all of the rest of the pages load just fine. BTW, when I click on "<u>tank addition 2</u>," the page loads and the title at the top says "tankadd3" instead of "tankadd2" ... the other pages' names correspond with the numbers in your links (maybe that will help you troubleshoot).

Do you have any idea what might be going wrong

Again, you really did a nice job ... I'm impressed!

Wow! Very impressive, John!!! You've done a lot of work which solves the problem of gas storage for long distance cruising. The tank looks a little deceiving -- 16.5 gals is a lot of capacity and it doesn't really look that big.

Buzz -- I clicked the "next" button at the bottom of each page which seemed to successfully put me through each page sequentially.

Hi John,
Nice work,
I have been considering putting a tank in my 89 as I'm planning to sail from Key west to the Dry Tortugas, about 140 miles round trip.

One quick question. Do you have to prime your fuel line with a bulb like you do for a portable gas tank?

I tried that, too ... 'didn't work ...

FWIW, the page I'm trying to view is "tankadd2.html" ... I can't get it to load, no matter how I try it.

the primer bulb is still on the outboard end of the fuel line.
Buzz, I have never set up a web page before and was getting messed up in sequencing the page numbers. I'll check but tank addition 3 is really tankadd2 and tank addition 2 is really tankadd3. They are in the correct order if you use the link buttons at the bottom of each page.
Richard if you look at where the strap channels are in the very first here are all the parts photo, each section is a little larger than a 5 gallon gerry can. so though the tank is relatively flat it is long, more than 48". And that is enough for 16+ gallons. The home page photo was taken last summer crossing the north channel from Thessalon to Drummond Island. The wind was about 20 kts. we had a reef in the main and about 50% of the jib out. Even with the reduced sail we were kicking along at 6+ kts all day.

Hi Sid,
Buzz will have to go on the waiting list. Right now I'm trying to get 50 6th-8th graders through a production of the Pirates of Penzance.
It is dangerous to give 7th grade boys pirate sabers. No matter how many times you tell them that the swords are to be sheathed and only brought out in carefully staged scenes, the moment the get them in their hands they are fighting. Any way the production is next week.
Then I have four plays done by K-3rd graders, My chamber choir is singing in Chicago on the 19th of May. We are performing at the Univerity of Chicago and the Navy Pier. Then there is the Talent Show and the Recorder and handbell concert, then the graduation Mass a few days of classroom tidying up and then I'll be off to the great north. I'll be sailing for about 6-7 weeks then I have a few people to visit. Then faculty meetings faculty retreat then back to school.
So If I'm going to do Buzz's tank it won't be till september so Sid you see I wouldn't be able to squeeze you in till October at the earliest.
