I'm looking for recommendations for a supplier of used sails. I need to replace the main on our SR. We don't race so a good used sail will be fine. I'd hate to get into some hassle with a vendor who shipped me a rag for what he calls a "good" used sail. You guys seem to know just about all their is to know about our boats and I've learned and profited a lot from your advice.

Tomorrow will be an 8 hour day with a scrubbie and Soft Scrub, that stuff really turns the boat white. It's a lot of work but she really looks good when your done.

Happy sailing guys, I'm looking forward to a great summer.

You might also try Bacon sails in Annapolis. They have a huge inventory of used sails. I haven't checked the dimensions, but if a J-24 sail will fit, you might find a great sail that's past it's prime from a racing point of view, but many years left.

I'll second Bacon Sails in Annapolis. When I was looking for a Genoa for a 74 Kells, they knew the exact measurements (most folks never even heard of a Kells) and were able to get me something at least close for a reasonable price.
