Recently purchased a Catalina 25 with a Johnson 9.9 Sailmaster motor. Does anyone know where I can obtain an owners manual for this engine? Maybe a website that I can download it? Thanks
Joe, I've had a 9.9 Johnson for 11 years now and though I have the manual it was never a help on the few occasions that I needed a repair. The local libraries have repair manuals that are some help. I'm fortunate to have the dealer who sold me the motor available for consultations and parts. So far I've had to replace the fuel pump diaphragm and a fuel line hook-up, not bad for the service rendered. Val on Calista# 3936
I have a Johnson 9.9 ... 1986 version ... I bought a service manual and found a great deal of help with the service and operating techniques. It is published by Primedia Business Magazines & Media Inc. 10th printing was in may of 2002. ... The title is: CLYMER EVINRUDE/JOHNSON OUTBOARD SHOP MANUAL 2 - 40 HP 1973 - 1990(Includes Electric Motors) #B732 It illustrated how to change the water pump, fuel pump, I reallu can't remember where I bought it but it was likely COPE MARINE in O"Fallon , Il. They ordered parts for me, as well. When I needed 'Professional' help I wound up taking oit to BRANNEN'S MARINE in Fenton ... closer to home. If you are slipped at Carlyle, West Access ... stop by ... I'm in D6. Good Luck and Fair winds ...
