My boat is tied bow first to the dock. My only access is grabbing and climbing up over the bowrail. There are no finger slips to access the sides. What are the best options for easier access to the boat?

Uh...pole vaulting?
Boarding over the bow pulpit must be tough when loading gear, coolers, and stuff!
Turn the boat 180degrees and tie it off stern first, and use a 4-5' boardwalk between dock and boat. (arrggh reverse "walking of the plank" ) I'm assuming you have an anchored 'buoy/can' that you tie off to as well ? Backing in, although difficult, may be the lesser of two evils, for ease of boarding/un-boarding.
