Interesting to me that some are downsizing as they get older...I'm going bigger. No more getting the boat from the storage facility, loading it, hauling it to the lake, rigging it, waiting in line to launch (on a big weekend), getting the inside squared away...then the entire time on the lake, wondering how crowded it will be to get it out of the water, derig it, haul it home, unload it, put it away....all in Oklahoma's 100* heat. Now I drive to my wet slip at the lake, unlock the boat and am ready to go...if the admiral decides to spend the night, we fire up the marine air...no more 12v fans.

beneteau 331
i am so impressed with the quality for a production boat.
i really like the dark stained interior finish.i think the newer catalina's look cheap with the light stain.
the costs are well below a catalina of that size.
i really like my 25, but, someday.

Had the opportunity to go thru a Beneteau 331, a C320, a C350 and a new C387 at a recent boat show. Sorry, but I think the Catalina's light interior is very elegant looking, and it is all quality teak and hardwoods. The attention to detail on these boats is remarkable and everything is first class. Even the through hull fittings are labeled. We ended up buying a C320 (used). Great boat, Catalina has not missed a thing.

The prettiest interior I've seen in person was in a new Sabre (42?)... Light cherry throughout, including lots of battens overhead and wainscotting along the sides. Drop-dead gorgeous! (Cherry generally darkens with age, however.)
