The May Telltale news letter is now available off the main page of this web site. If you are a member and don't have the user name / password, please email Clif or Don.

This issue features info from Clif with the results of the Memorial Day National Rally, a column by me about cruising to Catalina Island, and a new, really great sailing poem by Amy.

Issues will be going out in snail mail very soon to those unfortunate members who do not use the internet.

I would really like to read your article on heading out to Catalina. I have been out there on the ferry dozens of times, and once in my 16 foot inflatable. as I look at the boat I have just aquired my thoughts are when it will make it to catlina.

Frank, I'll be gone sailing for 3 weeks in August, so the August issue is going to be late, just like the May one. If I get any material before the end of the month, I'll use it.

I hope you all like Amy's poems. It means so much to her to be published.

Clay, I'll write a good article for August about our Fleet 7 voyage from San Diego to Oceanside, Dana Point, Catalina, Santa Barbara Island, Port of Los Angeles, Catalina 2 Harbors, and Catalina Island circumnavigation. You are more than welcome to bring your boat on all or part of this trip. Your C25 or 250 is quite suitable for Catalina Island and beyond, especially in settled summer months. I sail mine almost every day of the year and have been building up to stronger winds and tougher seas. Its a good boat, can stand up to some tough conditions, cruises and sails well. Its a small boat, though and 4 people run out of space pretty quickly.
