Still looking for anyone w/ experience placing flexable water tank in bildge. seems good use of seldom used space, moving water weight to center lowest part of boat and freeing great under seat storage space. please looking for advice, if good idea, possible problems, how to anchor water bag so wont move around when sailing. thanks chris on Lhung Ta
Not sure how you would anchor it, but keep in mind the water tank counteracts some of the holding tank weight and the engine (as long as the engine is on Port).
Duane thanks for reply feeling pretty lonely til received, my engine starboard and no holding tank, in fact allways had slight starboard list at dock. as to anchoring flex tanks have loops at corners so thinking of some kind of eye bolt arrangement. please anyone reply w/ any other ?'s, concerns, erperiences, or ideas. I can't be the first to consider this. Thanks chris on Lhung Ta
I haven't done this. I assume you have a fin or wing keel. I wouldn't want to cover the bilge area to make it harder to see if water was collecting there. Other than that, I wouldn't think it would be hard to anchor using eye-bolts into the stringers that run athwart ship and terminate above the sump where the keel bolts are.
