I am working hard on the bottom of the boat. I have about 16 yrs worh of paint applied . How in the %$#&^ d you get it all off? Must be cheap. The quicker the better. I am taking it down to the gel coat.
I removed a rather thick layer of epoxy bottom paint with a past-type paint stripper sold by West Marine. Slathered on, apply special (plastic-coated) paper, wait 24- 48 hr, then lightly scrape off. I think I used about 6 gal, cost somewhere around $200. Left the gelcoat very clean (a bit of scrubbing needed). Good luck!
I used Cap'n Lee's chemical stripper on Encore! Can't remember the cost, but I think 2 gallons did it; probably less than $100 total???. It came from an auto paint dealer, but it is okay for fiberglass if you don't leave it on too long. You need some warmth for it to work well. When the temperature dropped below 60 or so, it didn't "cook" very well.. I'd think 70 degrees and above would be good. The old paint came off like peanut butter which dried on the tarp between boat and trailer. I liked it because I had little dust to worry about, although I sanded the last little residue off with an orbital sander. Then I applied a barrier coat, then paint.....I could not find the soda blasters locally, but it sounds to me like a good option, too, but you said "cheap"....
