A friend of mine, who I replaced the keel cable for, has so much wobble in his keel that he needs a keel pin refurbish job. I think he also needs the keel bored out and a bushing installed, as the keel is VERY loose.
We need help. He has no trailer. We haven't found anyone willing to tackle the job yet. We're located on Lake LBJ in central Texas. Any advice that will help us out will be greatly appreciated.
I believe the information needed to do this job yourself is in the archives. The best solution I have seen is to borrow the trailer for a fin keeled boat, preferably a 25. The height gives you room to drop the keel on the trailer to work on it. After that you rent some drill they talk about in the archives.
