There is/was one on my dock. Hmmm come to think of it, don't remember seeing it lately. Guy spent a lot of time on it and kept it completely covered. Have seen him take it sailing a couple of times. There is a Cheoy Lee 47 up for lein sale at our Marina! Thinking about bidding 125 bux. That's the Marina's cost for the sale. Who knows, might win the lotto. Maintenance and commissioning costs would probably cost a pretty penny. Those teak decks are notorious for leaking.

Yeah... it's a good lookin thing when made up. A member of my club has one and well you got it right..he never stops working on it long enough to sail. He has won best lookin boat on the rappahanock severals times running, but to me if you wanna build, paint varnish, etc try doing dog or bird houses. I just can't see spending 90% of the season with a brush or hammer in your hand. Anyway he does have a nice shop/trailer .

Sounds like a lack of dedication to me; work on her during the day, sail her at night.
