Hi folks

I have emailed all of the NC Asso. members an invitation but I wanted to extend it here just in case anyone else will be in the area. I am taking my annual fall sailing trip October 21st through the 26th to sail from the Oriental area out to Ocracoke Island. If you are in the area and wish to sail along, drop me an email to svmoxie at hotmail dot com. Weather alternatives include heading north up the dismal swamp canal to Elizabeth City or south to the Beaufort/Cape Lookout area.

If you can't go standby for pictures and highly embelished stories of my daring seamanship!

Hey Clif
That sounds like a great trip. I would like to do that someday. I wonder if there is a way you could show us on a chart or describe to us where you will anchor out, if that's what you plan to do. Let us know which marina in Ocracoke is best to tie up to. It's been a long time since I have been to Ocracoke. It was in the 80's to go camping and windsurfing, so I didn't notice much about marina stuff.

Clif, if you don't have your own personal web site like www.indiscipline.org, send us photos you would like to share and we'll put your trip on the National Association cruise page. Digital or color prints (we have a scanner).

I am looking forward to seeing these places again. This link shows when the crew of Indiscipline II was in your waters back in 2000:

Nice pics Jim

Yep, those are the home waters for sure! You are a tough act to follow when it comes to the sailing reports but I will try my best.

Wish I could join you. We're on vacation Oct. 17-21, but Dan's got to be back to work on 10/22. It would be a great trip!

I put the link up because I thought some of our readers would like to see photos of the general area where you'll be sailing.

If I had to choose any place to retire to other than San Diego it would be the Carolinas. I loved the area and the people.

How can you sit on a dock and watch all the boats heading south down the ICW and not pack up and take off????

We're looking forward to your cruise report.
