I just bought my first inflable- a used 7'10" Aquapro RIB with a weight of 63 lbs. Max HP rating is 6. Can anyone advise if a 3 HP outboard would be enough to moved 3 people?

I'm sure it would be enough to move 3 people in a dinghy - the question is how fast do you want to go?

It will move you no sweat, but you won't be able to get it to plane. I have a 9' 6" inflatable. A 2 hp Johnson pushes it along like a displacement hull boat with 4 people in it no problem. An 8 hp will plane it with three adults, but I don't like hanging an 8 on my stern rail: too much weight.
