The first thing I would try is an attempt to borrow a trailer from either your point of origin or your point of arrival. At my club it would be considered fairly trivial to borrow a trailer. I have offered mine to someone and they offered to put new tires on it for the trouble. Good luck.

In addition to the trailer, you will need a heavy duty tow vehicle. Your basic half ton pick up won't get it.

Remove the engine, Drop the mast, pull the tiller, take all your gear off of the boat. This is if the boat is to be moved by a company. The mast can be supported by crutches or the company may secure it flat to their trailer. Most moving companies have adjustable bed pads so you should not need a cradle. If your going to move the boat all the above may be variable . If you can find a company that already has another boat going in the same direction or a backhaul you might get a much better price. Mine went from Tacoma Wa to a lake in Idaho $900
