I've had an offer accepted on a 1984 C-25 with fin keel and no pop-top in Mattapoisett, Ma, for $6000 (new motor, new main, new cushions). Anyone know of a reputable surveyor in the Massachusetts/Rhdoe Island area they care to recommend?

Anyone in http://www.marinesurvey.org should be good. I used Ken Johnson of http://www.johnsonmarineservices.com/ in Mystic--they also operate in RI and MA. I was very pleased--I went through the whole process with a clipboard--learned a lot.

Take a look at these guys. They are nationwide - a friend of mine works for them here in Cleveland.

They are reputable, reasonable in price and certified by the governing group of surveyors...
