At the meeting last night, (shame and fie on you who failed to attend, you know who you are) we worked on the sailing instructions. We aggreed to provide a start for Capri 25s. The Capri fleet will not be competing for a national trophy, only a fleet trophy. We also agreed to award an overall PHRF trophy. It will be interesting if the overall trophy is won by a Capri! As will always be the case every year; any sponsorships that anyone can land can only help the event and the association. Help find one if you can, we really need repeating sponsors so this is not so hard every year.
There was more discussion about visiting sailors crewing on local boats and people are encouraged to use the swap meet thread for communication. Several "teams" are already planning on sailing in the Wed night beer race prior to the regatta. Wed night J-24 sailors and our 7.9 are very anxious to see a Catalina 25 be competitive with them since they have never seen one even finish on the same leg as them. (Anyone; anyone?)
Remember the NSA long distance Collossus Cup is held on the 4th so a team could take home a lot of honors for a weeks work.
