Dump your old fuel into another can and use it for your old lawnmower. Newer Hondas are really sensitive to fuel quality and cleanliness.
Change engine oil. Change lower end oil Give all grease fittings a spritz. Inspect and renew spark plugs needed Inspect fuel hose, fittings and tank. Pull propellor and inspect shaft seal.
Run the engine on a stand using a flushing fitting or a barrel well BEFORE launch day.
Clam, I wouldn't even put that gas into an old Briggs-Stratton... But to your list, I would add: If the cylinders weren't "fogged" before the engine was laid up, I'd do it now before turning it over, to avoid the effects of dry rings against the cylinder walls. It'll cause a little puff of smoke the first time you start the engine. Marine stores have "fogging spray".
