The Admiral/CFO has authorized the purchase of roller furling for Mara. Now I'm wondering which would be better: a furler w/135 or a new 135 and new main rigged with downhauls with everything led back to the cockpit?
I know this topic has been kicked around a lot, but any suggestions would be helpful.

I do like my furler. I got an Ullman 135 for it. It's built really well, and Gary Swensen is a really good person to work with. I got the furler/headsail a year and a half ago, and a new Ullman main this year. Of course if you are a racer, you don't need my advice. You know what to do.
Hey Jim I love the picture of you and your boat and all the fishin' gear. Someday I gotta get with you and have a few fishin lessons, a few beers, a few lies
