I'm replacing the cable through-hull fitting for the VHF antenna. I'm probablly going to use one of those cable clams. For those of you who have one of these, how do you plug up the hole when the mast is down and the cable is out of the clam?
I picked up a cable clam a week or so ago for the VHF, and I wondered the same thing. I think I'm simply going to place a small rubber gasket/disc, about the size of a quarter, between the cap and rubber grommet of the clam. That should stop any moisture from going through the hole.
