She is polished and gleaming, the down side is that we have noticed the fenders-a stiffer plastic, than the Taylor made, seem to be acting like sandpaper on the hull? I know fender covers seem like power boat owner sissy things ,BUT I want No big grind spots "Leprechauns " Hull either. ANY THOUGHTS? Alan & Eileen...

"The clink of an anchor - chain, the 'Yo-Ho!' of a well time crew, the flapping of huge sails - I love all these sounds."

Hmmmmm ... I use them all the time ...
The reason I use the fender covers is because my old fenders are messy-looking ... the covers keep them looking clean, and the covers are easier to wash than cleaning up the fenders. I hadn't thought about protecting the finish on your boat, but I think they'd do the job.
I bought a case of them on eBay. That was a long time ago ... I don't know of any current eBay listings, but it might be worth a quick search.
Good luck finding some ... I think they'd help protect the finish on your boat, even though you'll be a card-carrying sissy!
Got a sewing machine? I make mine with a little slightly stretchy fabric (corduroy is soft and easy to work with)....sew in a little hem on top and bottom...put in a little elastic and voila1 Easy and really cheap.
Sewing doesn't threaten my masculinity at all (just a different "construction tool". I have saved SO much money sewing covers for sails, winches, etc. and the cushion covers for the interior work great for about $50. Try it...if you are on a budget like me, you will soon get hooked....
