Sailnet is having a 25 percent off rope sale which is like 50 percent off West Marine prices.

Example:

Sailnet Sta Set 5/16" white/green fleck .38/ft.

West Marine Sta Set 5/16" white/green fleck .79/ft

You will be lucky if you get it!! I have ordered two major items from these folks this past month-and they don't stock them! However, there is a way we can beat the program!! I took one of the items I had ordered to West Marine, and they matched the price! Try this with your lines!!

I had pretty good luck with Sailnet. Ordered line that was in stock which they shipped right away. Ordered a Davis Megalight. It was back ordered and took several weeks, but I eventually got it.

Over the winter, I've spent about $150.00 on new line at Sailnet. This same line would have cost me over $400.00 at West Marine.

My Sailnet bill over the winter was over a grand...(all for a Catalina 25 that I am getting rid of in 2 years; sizeitis you know)

I was backordered on a few items, but really didn't care in the winter. It was shipped later. The line I ordered, 250 feet @ .17 per was exactly what I wanted and was shipped pronto. Had one problem with someone in the warehouse picking the wrong item, but that was fixed with a phone call.

Guess its just a matter luck....they also usually list availability on the site too.

I ordered line from Sailnet in the first part of March and got a partial order. From what I can tell in calling them about it, the backordered line is now in its 3rd backorder, and still not going to be delivered to them until April 30. It may be a good price, but if you can't get it the price doesn't matter.
