Every now and then, I visit the Trailer Sailor forum, which used to be our home for this board. As time goes on, I become more pleased with this format compared to TSBB--especially because you can see an entire thread with one click, the index has only one entry per thread (shorter), and active threads pop to the top of the index. I also appreciate the ability to edit and delete my own posts--I seem to need those features frequently.
So, TSBB didn't disappear as it appeared it might, but I think we've benefitted from our move anyway. Thanks to everyone who stepped up and made it happen!
Now, if I could just remember how to... Oh ya, there it is.

I couldn't agree more! In addition, I frequent TSSB, for the various forums, as well as Calfornia Cape Dory Assoc. site and a few others. I do this mostly for the wealth of knowlege out there. I have noticed that most of thoes types of forums have what I like to refer to as terroists (people who for whatever reason like to antagonize others with questions which are designed to enrage others). Perhaps the login is blessing in disguise. I still wish we had a spell checker as I usually spend some time checking the dicshenary.

Hi Ray,
I also wish we had a spell checker ... some of us use some very creative spellings from time to time!
For what it's worth, I've got my own spell checking method that works for me. After I compose a post, and before I post it, I copy and paste it into a blank email ... then I use my email spell checker to see if I'm in the ball park on my spellings. I then cancel the email and edit my post if I need to ... THEN I post the new reply.
Wow, Buzz... I don't think the rest of us are that concerned about your (or my) spelling. If there were kids watching out there, I'd worry more. Who cares if a word is a little differant (one of the more popular approximations on this board)? If your (another favorite that the checker won't catch) close enough foneticly, that's good enuf for us.

You could compose your post in Microsoft Word or any other word processing program, spell check it, then copy and paste it to the forum.
These discussions do diverge lately.
quote:
You could compose your post in Microsoft Word or any other word processing program, spell check it, then copy and paste it to the forum.

I use wordperfect and I thought of that. I usually cut and paste from the forum ie. the Put-in-Bay discussion to word perfect, my own archives if you will. I must admit I didn't think of the solution Buzz has. I think I will continue to use my good old dogeared Websters.
Dave I don't know what you could have possibly edited in your post, but my dicshenary doesn't have some of thoes words. Better edit again
