Like Bryan, I haven't been around here much recently--in my case because of my recent move to Mystic, CT, a new relationship that keeps me away from Mystic most weekends (not part of the original plan), a new runabout for the slip outside my condo (Passage can't get to it), and the other aspects of starting a new life.

This weekend, a friend and I "sailed" Passage from Norwalk up to Mystic--about 75 miles in 13 hours (not bad, huh?) over two days, mostly under power and including going in and out of the marina where we stopped. It turns out the marina she's now in is where she was first kept when she was new--she has truly come home. Easy destinations from here are Fisher's Island, Block Island, Shelter Island, Montauk, the pretty coves on the Connecticut River... However, whether I keep Passage is up in the air now--I don't really enjoy single-handed sailing--I like to do it with and for somebody, and the current somebody is not here. I'll give it a season (at least) and then decide whether I can justify the boat units--I have no idea how it will play out.

So, when you're in or passing by Mystic, I'm seconds away from I-95 Exit 90, can give boat tours of the historic seaport with the whaling ships and such, and daysails on Fisher's Island Sound. Unfortunately, I still have to work for a living, but my time is often flexible, so drop me a note.

You have been missed. It is wonderful to see such momentum in your life, many people lack the courage. I bet the runabout is fun, just don't get 3ftitis!
