I know there have been threads for this tiller pilot on the c25, but i wonder if anyone has installed the st1000 on the 250. if so, did you mount in the seat or in the coaming? any suggestions, reasons for doing one or the other, etc. would be extremely helpful. ron
come on guys, please? anyone? also--if a seat mount is preferable, how do you handle 125lb force generated by the st1000 on the (opening) seat hinges and latch
I'm not sure what the brand name is of my auto tiller as the manual is on the boat with it. But the thing is mounted to the starboard seat. There is a small hole drilled and fitted with a stainless grommet. On the under side of the locker hatch is a small piece of wood glued to where the grommet is, for a backing. To tell you the truth, I like my Tiller Tamer better.
