We were lucky enough to have Rick and his wife Jan visit us last Friday to check out Casco Bay. Here is some evidence - it was a gray day, sorry about the lack of color

Rick in the Companionway -

We took tako kichi off-shore so Rick and Jan could experience big water sailing. This is the Ram Island Light guarding the entrance to Portland Harbor.

Jan seems to like it out there.

We are defintely lucky to sail in one of the prettiest areas I've ever seen.

Rick at the helm, loving our bay.

Rick wondering if it could really be . . .

It is!

I built the gizmo on the radar mount that allows the dome to cant - it was the only thing to fail in the Vendee... (At least Bruce could fix it underway).

And, finally, contrary to Rick's assertion, there's not much competent about tako kichi's skipper ...

Thank you, Rick and Jan, for good sailing, good company and good food. We hope there's much more to come!

Justin and Jessica

This is the kind of thing that makes this association as great as it is. Justin and I had not met before but we both love sailing. We had discussed sails when I was looking to replace my genny. So being not too far away we managed to get together for a grand time on his boat and some great food and comapny afterwards. He tried to get me to go racing with him the next day, but I chickened out, I'm still too much of a novice.
