I am putting my C 25 together and I am not sure how the PO atched the boom vang to the mast. there is a yoke on the boom but nothing on the mast any thoughts?

This link shows the factory manual diagram, although I find it easier to tail it at the top.

There are numerous aftermarket systems available, which could have been installed on yours.

Clay,

Later model c-25's have a tang welded to the tabernacle to attach the vang at the base of the mast. I'm not sure how far back this feature was installed. My 1988 TR has it.

Some use a very large bail that uses the mast step through bolt. If you cannot find anything my guess is that you boat has or had one of this type.

Look for it or buy another.

Hey thanks Frank I think I will order one of thoes. It will be a bit more nautical than the 1 inch tublar climbing webbing that I am now useing.
